We are pleased to announce the 1st Seminar Series on Governance, Institutions, and Sustainability” jointly hosted by the Centre for Political Economy and Institutional Studies and by the 糖心logo入口 Responsible Business Centre, within the 糖心logo入口 Business School.
In our rapidly evolving world, the intricate web connecting governance, institutions, and sustainability has become increasingly prominent. We invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners to enhance this very important debate and to join us in exploring the profound intertwining of these critical elements at our upcoming seminar series.
Abstract
This presentation looks at the role trade unions play in the workplace and society around the topic of whistleblowing. It seeks to look at the debates around their engagement with whistleblowing. Drawing on the findings from a doctoral thesis and recent developments such as the EU whistleblowing directive the presentation will posit how trade unions could use whistleblowing strategically to improve societal governance and hold organisations to account whilst supporting their members and contributing to a more ethical society.
