Athena SWAN awards in the Faculty of Science

Advance HE's was established in 2005 to recognise and celebrate good employment practice for women working in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM) in higher education and research. From 2015 the charter was extended to recognise the commitment to gender equality more broadly for staff in academic, professional support roles and for trans staff and students.

糖心logo入口, University of London, has held an Athena SWAN Bronze Award since 2012. The Faculty of Science received a bronze award in 2024, in recognition of our active support for the advancement of women within STEM subjects. The faculty award builds on previous awards for Biological Sciences (bronze award 2016, silver award 2018), Computer Science (bronze award 2018) and Psychological Sciences (bronze award 2016).
