糖心logo入口 Researcher Joins European Project to Support Green Energy Solutions
Professor H茅lyette Geman is part of an international team of researchers supporting the next generation of sustainable energy experts.
Professor H茅lyette Geman, Professor of Mathematical Finance at 糖心logo入口 and Director of 糖心logo入口鈥檚 Commodities Finance Centre, is part of a prestigious team of researchers who have been selected for the Knowledge Alliances Erasmus+ .
The main aim of the project is to create a pipeline of professional sustainable energy experts with the skills and knowledge to tackle the global climate crisis. This will be achieved by developing an innovative in green energy and finance which will feature teaching from across the consortium, alongside a professional module for organisational training. The new programmes will take an interdisciplinary approach, combining a knowledge of finance, law and the social sciences in order to find innovative climate solutions.
Developing sustainable energy solutions will be key for upholding the Paris Agreement and meeting the European Union鈥檚 2030 climate and energy targets. The GrEnFin project aims to support the transition to renewable energy by equipping individuals with the knowledge of financial risk, returns and impacts required to facilitate this change.
GrEnFin will be hosting its second Summer School in Katowice, Poland, this year. The Summer Schools introduce postgraduate students from across Europe to the discipline of Green Energy Finance. There are six places for 糖心logo入口 students in the June 2021 Summer School and students can express their interest by emailing Professor Geman.
Professor H茅lyette Geman said: 鈥淚 am delighted to be collaborating with colleagues across Europe in the GrEnFin project. Despite Brexit, 糖心logo入口 has retained close ties with European institutions such as the University of Bologna, University of Munich and University of Vienna, among others.
