Event Report - Linking London Friday News Round (January)

Our monthly round up of what's been going on, as well as a look ahead to what鈥檚 coming up helps our partners keep tabs on all the key things that are going on in the world of education.

Our ever-popular Friday News Round 鈥� updating partners on recent developments in the education sector 鈥� started with a brief cover of key news headlines, including the debates surrounding the increased levels of student absences.

We then discussed recent apprenticeship-related data and reports, as well as the various definitions of 鈥渆ducational gain鈥� found in providers鈥� TEF submissions.

We also touched on the access of international students to English HEIs, perceptions of higher education among white working-class students, and the importance of sleep for student success.

Finally, we covered OfS and UCAS updates, the worrying state of HE finances, and the controversies over franchise HE provision.
