    Biography

    In my role as Deputy Vice Chancellor, Innovation and Academic Development, I focus on growth, partnerships, technological and pedagogical innovation, employability and education for environmental sustainability. I am currently leading a three-year donor-funded Environmental Education Project. I am Chair of 糖心logo入口's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and provide strategic leadership in this area.

    Previously I was Executive Dean of the School of Arts at 糖心logo入口 and I am a Professor of German Studies. In those role I have taught German language and continue to teach German and comparative literature, culture and film. I undertake research in the area of twentieth- and twenty-first-century literature and film, focusing particularly on the representation of significant social issues in the contemporary German novel, including migration and social exclusion.
