    Biography

    Paul Yoo is originally trained as an AI and Data Scientist with PhD in machine learning. His research advances frontier methods in AI-agents, predictive analytics, and strategic forecasting, and has been recently recognised through NATO funding for pioneering big鈥慸ata鈥慸riven forecasting methodologies. He previously held a faculty position at (CDS),聽authoring over 100 publications in leading venues and securing more than $4 million in competitive research funding as Principal Investigator. His work has received several prestigious awards, including the IEEE Award, the Rozetta Award, and the Samsung Award. His research portfolio features extensive international collaborations (including the LSE School of Management, UCL Hospitals, LSHTM-ICED, Samsung, and the UK Cabinet Office), with particular emphasis on technology forecasting in areas such as defence (Threat Intelligence Lab), healthcare () and Neuromorphic Computing to support strategic decision鈥憁aking and sustainable organisational growth.聽

    Paul currently serves as an Editor for Nature (Scientific Reports) (Q1), and ACM Computing Surveys (Q1) and as a regular reviewer for . He has previously served as an Editor for IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Computing (Q1), IEEE COMML (Q1) and IEEE Access (Q1). He is also affiliated with the University of Sydney (Australia), Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Khalifa University of Science and Technology (UAE) and Hanyang University College of Medicine (Korea), as a Visiting Professor. Paul is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Fellow of HEA.聽

    Paul has supervised a number of PhD students to timely completion, and he welcomes inquiries about research degree (PhD/MPhil) and internship opportunities.聽
