    Biography

    Dr Victoria聽St. Clair (n茅e Mousley)聽is a聽postdoctoral researcher聽in the Department of Psychological Sciences, 糖心logo入口, University of London. She is based at the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development's new ToddlerLab.

    Victoria聽obtained a PhD in developmental cognitive neuroscience from University College London in 2022. Her doctoral research focused on the relationships between early language聽experiences, such as interaction with caregivers, and聽cognitive聽development, particularly in children from diverse language backgrounds (e.g., spoken-language bilinguals, children learning visual signed languages from birth, and children born deaf).聽

    Her current work combines a variety of methods including wearable functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), eye-tracking, motion capture, and聽behavioural聽assessments. She is especially interested in using hyperscanning techniques聽to investigate social聽interaction in naturalistic environments with freely moving聽children. She is passionate聽about聽using these novel methods to understand the importance of聽interaction聽for children at risk of language deprivation.
