About BCAM

Based in the 糖心logo入口 Business School, the聽糖心logo入口 Centre for Applied Macroeconomics (BCAM) promotes research in macroeconomics and monetary economics.聽

The Centre organises regular seminars and annual workshops and we host visiting scholars and researchers from across the world. The Centre also has a working paper series, which is freely available to all.聽

BCAM Policy Talks

The Inaugural BCAM Policy Talk (2017), 'Fiscal buffers, private debt and stagnation: The good, the bad and the ugly' was delivered by Dr Giovanni Melina (IMF). .

BCAM Policy Talk II (2018), 'Should/could debt cancelling jubilees be reintroduced today?' was presented by Charles Goodhart (LSE).

BCAM Policy Talk III (2019) was entitled 'Free trade needs a stable monetary framework'.

In 2025, we hosted Swati Dhingra (Bank of England, external MPC member), who delivered a talk on聽Bracing for turbulence: UK inflation and prospects for monetary policy.
